Oliver and Rebecca say, “Bonjour Mulhouse”
We’ve been in Launceston for about a year, we came over from Melbourne and Rebecca has been studying at WEC (Worldview College for Missionary Training). Oliver has been working for an architect who designs churches and has also been helping out at the English Language Cafe at Barney’s and working with students through the Imagine Project. We are really going to miss worship at Barney’s while we’re away.
For the next six weeks we are going to France as part of Rebecca’s studies as she needs to do a placement. We will be in Mulhouse, on the eastern border of France. There is already a missionary team working in the area and we will be joining them. The town is 25% immigrant – mostly North Africans, and they are an unreached people group.
We are really excited to be going. Oliver was in Mulhouse in 2008, before the two of us were even dating, so it’s really exciting to be able to get back to France. Mulhouse is an interesting city, about the size of Launceston, with interesting people.
- We recently found out that one member of the team over there has had an operation because she was diagnosed with breast cancer, so please pray for her.
- For us, that we are able to discern God’s leading. Oliver has felt for about 20 years that he would like to live full time in France, so Rebecca is looking for confirmation of that for herself.
- Also for language learning while we are there.
Please join us in praying for Oliver and Rebecca over the next 6 weeks.
