Many people are involved in making our Sunday gatherings happen throughout the year, and in order to help them take a well earned break over the summer, and to remind ourselves that gathering as God's people doesn't always have to look the same, throughout January, we will gather more informally at various locations around Launceston. We hope that you will be able to join us. All these gatherings will be from 11am, and you are invited to BYO picnic or BBQ lunch. This is a great opportunity to gather simply as family, and to invite others to experience our community in a very informal setting. Below you can see a list of our gatherings from Christmas until the end of January. Please click on a location to see a map. If you have any queries about the gatherings, please email

Australia Day Camping Weekend 26-29 January, Myrtle Park

Last January we inaugurated the Barney's Australia Day weekend camping trip to Myrtle Park, and we will be going there again in 2018! From Friday 26th-Monday 29th January, the Barney's community is invited to come camping at this beautiful campsite near Targa, less than 30 mins from Barney’s. The site is an open, grassy camping area, on the banks of the St Patrick’s river and has an undercover picnic area, barbecues and a small kiosk. There are showers and toilets and we have hired the onsite hall for some of the time we’ll be there. There are great bush walks nearby and a few swimming, kayaking and fishing spots too :) We have already booked space for plenty of people to camp, (BYO everything!) and you are welcome to come for the whole time, or any portion of it. There will be lots of opportunity to play games, hang out, swim, eat food and generally be family together. Feel free to invite friends along too. If you are planning on joining us overnight, please email

If you would really like to come and camp, but don’t have access to a tent, Barney’s may be able to help you; please email You can see directions to Myrtle Park here. It'll be an awesome weekend and we hope to see you there!
